The objective is simple: players must remain financially solvent while forcing their opponents into bankruptcy. Acquiring monopolies by owning all the cities in a group enables players to construct houses and increase their rental income. Additionally, owning multiple transport squares enhances the rent collected from these properties.

In situations where a player needs a quick cash infusion, various options such as trading with other players, selling houses, or mortgaging properties can be explored. However, caution must be exercised as mortgaged properties do not generate rental income until they are fully paid off.

Europoly allows for both single-device multiplayer with bots or human opponents. The Artificial Intelligence (AI) of the bots has been finely tuned to offer three distinct difficulty levels. The higher difficulty levels present formidable opponents who make shrewd decisions and engage in aggressive trades. On the other hand, the lower difficulty levels provide more relaxed gameplay while still offering great deals to players.

Furthermore, Europoly offers extensive customization options to tailor your gaming experience. Choose from 15 different avatars and adjust the AI difficulty to challenge yourself or enjoy a more relaxed game.
